The onion skin blanket laid down its warm, golden fall tones — and then I looked closer and saw where the California buckwheat flowers had printed. Tiny. Delicate. Almost hidden in the warmth of the onion.

So I brought them forward. A little pink paint, placed by hand, right where each flower had left its mark. Now they bloom again — soft pink against that golden background, exactly where nature put them.

Eco-printed with an onion skin dye blanket, then hand-detailed with pink paint to highlight the buckwheat blossoms. Two passes. One piece.
